Education

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History from St. John’s University, Collegeville MN. I earned an advanced degree as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from the American College early in my career and later achieved the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. Both advanced degrees qualify the holder to consult in the advanced arena of insurance and financial planning. I have been showing clients how they can make large gifts to their favorite charity without impacting their children’s inheritance for many years.

Community Service

I believe in giving back to my community. I am the co-founder of the Longmont CO Community Foundation. My plan allocates a high percentage of my assets to charity. I have served on the board of my local Chamber of Commerce, the community Long Range Planning Commission, my Church Council and School Board, and the board of Life Choices, a northern Colorado consortium of Crisis Pregnancy Centers. I served for ten years on the volunteer staff of Contemplative Outreach of Colorado.
